Hot tub to be installed above ground on concrete patio installed with proper structural integrity for selected hot tub. The hot tub requires a 240V - 50A supply line, which is not currently supplied to the planned location of the hot tub. The scope of the work is as follows: 1. Installation of a 2-pole 50-amp circuit breaker in the existing home electrical panel. 2. Installation of a 50-amp 2 space 4-circuit GFCI disconnect/hot tub load center on exterior of home within line-of-sight of the hot tub NTE 50-ft and no less than 5-ft from hot tub. 3. Provide 6 AWG wiring from 2-pole 50 amp breaker in main electrical panel to the hot tub GFCI disconnect/load center. Wiring to be provided in liquidtight non-metallic flexible conduit routed on the exterior of the house. Routing path will be above ground along house foundation beneath the drip screed. Additional wiring to be coiled in the disconnect for future wire pull/maintenance as required. 4. Installation of 6 AWG wiring from the hot tub GFCI disconnect/load center to the hot tub which will include the below arrangement. Wiring will be routed from the GFCI disconnect to a junction box installed on the exterior columns of the covered patio. Wire routing to occur through trenched schedule 40 PVC conduit as the wiring will run through an area of frequent foot traffic. Wiring will exit the junction box in liquid tight non metallic flexible conduit for routing through hot tub chase ways. 5. Final hot tub connections will be provided by the hot tub vendor. Attached drawings and photos include specific wiring methodologies, installation locations, and materials to be used.
