Work that generates noise outside of these hours requires approval and an after-hours permit. After-hours requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. While we understand there are situations where extended work hours are beneficial, the City must also consider the impact on surrounding properties. Requests that would disrupt nearby residential neighborhoods during typical sleeping hours are generally not approved. Projects located in primarily commercial or industrial areas, where residential impacts are limited, are typically more suitable for after-hours work. To request after-hours approval, please provide the following information: · Project location • Broadway and Stapley area · Construction permit number (PMT, UTL, ROW, etc.) PMT23-17163 · Requested dates and hours: • Monday, October 16 from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. · Scope of work for water valve work · Anticipated noise associated with the work If the request is approved, the following conditions will apply: · Written notification must be provided to all residences within 500 feet of the project property line. The notice must include: o The purpose of the after-hours work o The dates and hours the work will occur o The name and phone number of the after-hours work supervisor • Brenda Clark, cell 480-978-5748 · Reasonable efforts must be taken to minimize noise and lighting impacts. Yes · The applicant is expected to respond promptly to neighbor concerns. Yes · The Development Services Department may revoke the after-hours approval if legitimate complaints are not adequately addressed.
